Ho Chi Minh complex includes a visit to the Mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of the city.
Literally translated to Descending Dragon Bay. According to legend, the bay’s wondrous fair was sculptured when an ancient dragon swished its immense tail through it. The impressive formation of the bay has made Ha long Bay Vietnam’s most obvious attraction of the area with nearly two million visitors annually.
Vietnam’s former imperial capital is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. With an area of 500ha and a system of three circles of ramparts, students will be taken aback by the scale of the buildings alone.
The complex network of tunnels, beneath the Cu Chi district, were developed during the Vietnam War by the North Vietnamese. Serving as a communications channel, supply route plus food and weapons caches, the tunnels can be explored by students with a guide.
